I am signing this petition because I firmly believe that public transportation should be safe and that every passenger should be able to travel without the threat of violence. The attack on this child on the bus is deeply distressing, and the inaction of the bus driver is unacceptable. As a member of society, I am deeply sympathetic to the victim and their family.

Jason, I'm with you. I live in Albany and my kids take the bus to constellation every day. The two bus stations mentioned above frequently have incidents of unruly teenagers harassing students. As a result of ATS and government inaction, taking the bus is becoming more and more dangerous. I don't think you're asking enough. AT should also be required to take responsibility for the safety of passengers. The driver was wrong not to intervene when that woman hit you.
