As someone who has lived in Seychelles for a time, I am stunned and disgusted that this is what is happening to the dogs there. I understand there is an issue with the stray dogs but this is an absolutely horrifying and painful way "handle the problem". I would have hoped that in the 12 years since I lived there, that Seychelles would be progressing into less of a savage country. I would have hoped that the government would get their shit together and stop destroying the ocean around the islands and bring the quality of life up from humans and animals, alike, on land. But nope. They out there putting poison down for dogs and any other animals to eat and die a painful death???? WHAT ARE YOU GUY DOING??? It's 2023 Seychelles! And you are poisoning animals in the streets??? Barbaric!

The poisoning of animals is a criminal and inhumane act towards the vulnerable in society. These acts are being committed where families and particularly children are witnesses. It is essential the acts are strongly condemned to demonstrate this is inappropriate behaviour. Research also shows a strong link between animal cruelty and violence abuses against women and children.
