These reserves have been part of the community for a very long time .Some of these reserves have been parks previously that kids have played in from the early 70’s .Its nice that kids of today in Engadine are having fun and have seek and communicated with the local council in trying not hallming anybody just to have some good fun on their bikes and seeking the outdoors to do this.It has bought all the kids in this area to show they are responsible in making new friendships and they are all looking after each other and using their own skills to make and build a great fun and safe area all on their own .Im all for this .

I remember building jumps, cubbies in these exact locations as a kid to have them demolished every time was heart breaking. This was happening long before me 30years ago and will continue. Stop pulling them down support the young kids in the area to have positive outdoor experiences in our extended awesome backyard!

(Engadine, Sydney NSW, 2018-05-14)

As a kid I grew up in Heathcote east and had our set of jumps ripped down by council also. Was heart breaking for all the kids and totally unnecessary. They should be encouraged to play outside and not punished for it.

#115

Children need to play outside in the fresh air just like we did as children.

(Engadine, 2018-05-14)

#118

The benefits of these jumps far outweigh the complaints of a few whinging neighbours. As kids they should be outside playing getting fit and healthy riding bikes and interacting with other kids. Our tracks were continuously destroyed by council when we were younger but each time we would all get together and build them bigger and better. Best memories as a kid was shared with all my mates at the marlee bike track. Now its flattened with fencing around it with not a kid in sight. Well done neighbours!

(Sydney, 2018-05-14)

My kids enjoy riding their bikes in the reserves, they aren’t causing trouble and they are outside exercising with their friends. Leave them alone. When I was a kid it wouldn’t have been an issue.

(Engadine, 2018-05-14)

#151

Kids should be allowed to be kids!!

(Engadine, 2018-05-14)

#153

If the children are being respectful of each other, the land and the neighbourhood I 110% support the bike tracks being kept there. It is getting kids outside in the fresh air and sunlight, being active and creating a positive community. Modern technology is ruining our children when all they want to do is sit inside and play on devices. There is no doubt that outdoors being active is a much better option for our local children their health and wellbeing.

(Engadine, 2018-05-14)

#157

Surely you might remember being a kid and riding a bike?

(Engadine, 2018-05-14)

(Enagdine, 2018-05-14)

#188

Had the same problem 20 years ago. My friends and I would ride to our jumps at dawn and go home after dark. And every time they got flattened we returned to build them bigger and better. Keep the jumps neat, safe from holes and rubbish free and the whingers will run out of excuses.

(Engadine, 2018-05-14)
