I have been to Kho Phayam - you have to accept som inconveniences (no air condition for example) - but you get so much from nature, slow traffic, and nice peopleBig money makes it all the same - like Pattaya and Phiket - you loose your identitiy

I have observed the devastating impact caused by unplanned mass tourism around the world. Sustainable tourism, which allows planned, managed, development in harmony with the environment and which respects the way of life of the indigenous people, should surely be applauded and promoted across our fragile world!(Market Weighton, York, 2018-10-27)

I am signing because Koh Phayam is a beautiful place, unic and natural and it would be a huge shame if this place would be turned into yet another island with big resorts, 7/11's and mass tourism . Koh Phayam should remain as special as it is, respecting local people as well as local land!(Kopenhagen, 2018-10-29)

The call it " the last pearl of the andaman sea"...So, they should know what they have.
Why change and make it to an island like all the others?

I feel strongly about protecting Koh Phayam's natural beauty and preserving it for future generations. The island is very unique in that it hasn't allowed itself to be swallowed up by mass tourism, yet. By protecting it's natural resources and regulating development Phayam can stand out as the star in the Andaman, known for it's natural beauty and sustainable approach to tourism. Such an approach will benefit both the tourists that visit, but also the local communities that call Phayam their home.(Chiang Mai, 2018-12-03)

I love Koh Phayam and I clearly can see the risk with a overexplonation. Even right now it happened a lot, stop foreigners to invest and let the Thai people earn some money instead of foreigners and big companies. Save the ecosystem, I know from the first time I was on the island that it changes fast.(kalmar, 2018-12-23)

I have visited this island for a few times now, first time was in 2009 and many things have changed since then but i think that some certain things shouldnt change. Please protect this island from all this madness that has ruined so many other islands. The nature there is irreplaceable. It should stay that way. This island brings me some of the most beautiful memories when i have been travelling around Thailand and will be always in my heart and i will return to Koh Phayam again to seek for its unique peace and ultimate relaxation. I love it.(Vantaa, 2019-04-05)
