We have lived with this ridiculous situation since 2008 (first load shedding fiasco)...
Every time the power goes down in Farrar Street....Benoni does not have water...as if the load shedding is not enough...our Municipality gives us a double "whammy".... no electricity and no water...

We have interruptions in our water supply on a weekly basis. This has damaged my appliances, plumbing, and as air rushes through the pipes my meter is turning. My domestic lady cannot do her job.
I wonder how small businesses in the area that are reliant on water such as hairdressers, car washes etc survive.
Our rates and taxes and all taxes are so high .... and we are not getting what we pay for!
Fix the pump station, finish the water towers, get alternative generators or power supplies!!

If the power goes off then we are without water supply as the pumps at the water tower needs electricity to pump the water. Please install a generator to supply electricity to the pumps during outages.

Our rates are being used to pay people who do not maintain our areas. Lack of maintenance is causing major water and electricity breakdowns. Backup generator for water pumps is dadly not affordable.
