Melaina Huaki (Nawton, 2021-06-09)

Iv just come out of emergency housing an there is such a need for these. My daughters could live in one at the whare we have now. And well our tenancy is up in 6 months an if we got nowhere to go this would be perfect...

Holli Morice (Gisborne, 2021-06-09)

#4

A great solution

Manu Gate (Gisborne, 2021-06-09)

#5

I agree😊

Meretauira Kara (GISBORNE, 2021-06-09)

#6

We all deserve a safe healthy home.

Nohopani Peta (Gisborne, 2021-06-09)

#9

I support this petition

Tawa Campbell (Gisborne, 2021-06-09)

#11

It is imperative that the Gisborne District Council enact bylaws that address the housing crisis in this region. The intergenerational social & economic deprivation and inequalities Mâori endure requires affordable housing options. I support this petition and implore that the GDC consent to these housing options ASAP!

Sharon Campbell (Gisborne, 2021-06-09)

#12

I’m signing because I’m sick of the inner greed the council portray in the fact they are trying to outlaw these is because it cuts them out of a possible earn by not needing consent .

It all boils down to greed

Tawh Walsh (Gisborne, 2021-06-09)

My rental is being sold and I haven't found a new one yet me and my daughters only have till the 22nd of June and it is very stressful. We have a huge housing crisis here in gizzy.

Megan GRIFFIN (GISBORNE, 2021-06-09)

#19

I would love one for my whanau they are beautiful and sustainable

Tawhipare Gray (TOLAGA BAY, 2021-06-09)

#21

We need more houses for whanau back home ASAP

Tarn Hardaway (Perth, 2021-06-09)

#24

These are the way of the future. Not everyone can get a home loan these days. This is affordable for those families. We want to make it easier for whanau to get a home.

Ash Richards (Ruatoria, 2021-06-09)

#25

We need more homes in Gisborne, the one on Stanley road was situated beautifully, giving people shelter. Council should be supporting that!

Ngaire Kimberley (Gisborne 4010, 2021-06-09)

#30

Come on GDC. You can help alleviate the housing crisis here. Sort yourselves out and help your community.

Tania Barbarich (Gisborne, 2021-06-09)

#32

I'm signing this because many people in our community need housing. There is so much red tape stopping any immediate solutions, we need a solution now.

Quannah Nickerson (Gisborne, 2021-06-09)

#34

I support this 100% they are awesum mobile homes, they are affordable, dry and look great, with the housing crisis at the moment, this would help many people by giving them this option.

Angela Warren (Gisborne, 2021-06-09)

#35

This is an affordable option for many people who are wanting their own home.

Lianne Wanoa (Gisborne, 2021-06-09)

#36

It's common sense and the GDC needs to evolve to meet the needs of it's citizens and with the times we're living in 😊

Aaron Whitehead (Gisborne, 2021-06-09)

#39

I'm signing because i want to buy myself a cabin, or a mobile home to live in.

Leza Ripi (Gisborne 4010, 2021-06-09)

#41

We need housing, this is a crisis and it must be affordable housing for all whanau. The need is beyond urgent, it is desperate. Over crowded housing causes illness - rheumatic fever for one. Our council and iwi authorities are not doing enough? Why? Because they are nice and warm in their houses.

Tania Takarangi (Ruatoria, 2021-06-09)

#42

We need affordable housing solutions as our generation are struggling to own homes. Smaller homes are one option that council should be supporting. Homelessness and motels are not a long term solution.

Hayley Houkamau (Gisborne, 2021-06-10)

#43

We need to find solutions for housing!

Mia Law (Gisborne, 2021-06-10)

#44

A need for affordable housing, this could be something could start in Wairoa

Michael Brown (Wairoa, 2021-06-10)

#47

I want to buy a house and I want more people to have access to this. Homes that are readily available are overpriced and therefore out of my reach, and land is overpriced, making it just an hard to build on.

Having portable homes will allow people the option to buy a house and have it to them sooner.

Jahred Clarke (Gisborne, 2021-06-10)

#49

Tiny homes on wheels are a healthy, affordable, awesome option for people in Tairāwhiti that want their own home but can't afford the $500-700k price tag for a basic 2-3 bedroom house.

Luke Buss (Gisborne, 2021-06-10)

#53

I agree that tiny homes provide a safe solution for housing

Diane spriggs (Auckland, 2021-06-11)

#54

Something needs to be done, NOW!

Sarah Isabeth (Leeston, 2021-06-12)

#57

My Nana needs one of these to live in. A safe, warm and affordable environment that everyone needs.

Grant Wilson-Bramwell (Gisborne, 2021-06-12)

#60

My mum has a transportable home, it’s brilliant and a perfect size for her!

Heidi Marsh (Gisborne, 2021-06-12)

#62

Because there is a housing crisis and those are a great solution. House are unaffordable for most

Craig Foss (Gisborne, 2021-06-12)

#66

We need these properties!

Hannah Houlahan (Gisborne, 2021-06-12)

#69

Because I have a family and we just lost our house now we are in a tent because there is no where to go at all in gisborne and its winter so these are a awesome idea and affordable it’s the only way to go.

Jay Prach (Gisborne, 2021-06-12)

#70

We are in need desperately

Priscilla Smiler (Gisborne, 2021-06-12)

#72

It’s sustainable for our future!

Kayla Foss (Gisborne, 2021-06-12)

#74

I absolutely think this a great, quick solution to help people now! A great way to provide safe accommodation for people who need it.

Amber Harris (Gisborne, 2021-06-12)

#77

I think it unfair for the local council to try and grab money anyway they can and prevent people bettering their lives by being able to be as self sufficient as possible without council attempting to put up barriers and money grab.

Tauaroha Haua (Elgin, 2021-06-13)

#81

I support Candice

Mate Webb (Auckland, 2021-06-13)

#87

We have a housing crisis this would help the problem but council rules are to complicated

Rowena Chaffey (Gisborne, 2021-06-13)

#89

I'm signing because I like the concept and that regardless, which part of New Zealand they are to be built it would be suitable

Tom Webb (Rotorua, 2021-06-13)

#92

We have a real housing crisis. Rent has sky rocketed but pay wages have not which has driven our people into even further poverty.

Te Rina Armitt (Gisborne, 2021-06-13)

#97

These houses are needed. Council should not be able to interfere with this type of dwelling. Do they the Council go to every caravan and get it inspected.

Diane Di Kinder (Gisborne, 2021-06-14)

#102

Everyone has a right to live in accommodation that is suited to there needs, with the amount of people needing homes you would think people would be encouraged rather than discouraged for making the effort....too much unnecessary red tape.

Lawrence Rangi (Gisborne, 2021-06-14)

#108

Use a bit of blood common sense!

Tara Collins (Gisborne, 2021-06-14)

#113

If I was transporting a caravan no one would care. A tiny home is the same thing. Duh!

Rachel Hewitt (Lincoln, 2021-06-14)

#115

I want this to be easy for all.

M & C Rau (Matawai, 2021-06-14)

#116

Everyone should be able to have a comfortable roof over their heads

Jose Roberts (Christchurch, 2021-06-14)

#117

Very little in the way of affordable housing anywhere. House prices are stupid high at the moment. Supporting a friends Mum to have this option.

Karen Wiggins (Lower hutt, 2021-06-14)

#121

My friends mum is affected by this.

Kim Hick (Perth, 2021-06-14)

#122

I'm signing because this is a great way to house people and GDC should be supporting this

Heather Tipene-Richards (Gisborne, 2021-06-14)

#124

I am signing because there is a housing shortage in Gisborne - people have no where to live, rent prices are ridiculous as are house prices.
If a person is lucky enough to have space for a tiny home, then what is the big deal?
Is the alternative to be homeless?

Katie Holden (Gisborne, 2021-06-14)

#125

Housing is a basic human right

Berni Veale (Christchurch, 2021-06-14)

#126

Come on GDC what is your problem ? Do you prefer people in Gisborne living in garages or worse still living in vehicles. Why and what is your reasoning behind this ?

Rex Richards (Gisborne, 2021-06-14)

#131

Our housing shortage is disgusting in nz and now unaffordable to many. Cant believe the barriers for.people to have a warm dry home to live in

Jo Cranefield (Gisborne, 2021-06-14)

#132

I’m signing because small homes is an excellent option for people in this day and age. Keep up with the times GDC

Nicki Stairs (Gisborne, 2021-06-14)

#135

Mobile homes are awesome to live in.

Beth Wallace (Wairoa, 2021-06-14)

#138

Everyone deserves to have an affordable warm and dry home to live in. We should be promoting these options and providing spaces for whānau to live comfortably within their means.

Meikura Arahanga (Christchurch, 2021-06-14)

#140

we need homes in Gisborne and this is an affordable option and will help our housing problem

Katrina Brown (Gisborne, 2021-06-15)

#141

I’m signing because this is a great solution to the housing crisis but it seems to be so hard to get anywhere with the council at the moment
I hope there is a solution soon

Rebecca Houia (Gisborne, 2021-06-15)

#145

The struggle is real, and with no other real solutions, whats the problem?

Michelle Stichbury (Gisborne, 2021-06-15)

#148

It’s a great idea

Wendy Forrester (Gisborne, 2021-06-15)

#151

im signing to support my family, a vunerable older lady who is worried sick.

Jenny Baron (Newton Le Willow, 2021-06-15)

#152

It's a good idea and it will give people who are currently in emergency housing a sense of purpose and lift their self esteem and children will get to be children again in a backyard

Larraine Ball (Gisborne, 2021-06-15)

#155

These seem like a tidy and safe way for families to accommodate extra family members or friends needing somewhere to live in this crazy hard to find accommodation world we are living in at the moment without having to build something permanent on their property

Tracey McMillan (Gisborne, 2021-06-15)

#156

I'm signing because I know several whanau who need a home. Looks affordable for low income families etc

Racheal Moeke (Gisborne, 2021-06-15)

#163

It should be allowed to be moved its on wheels and we let old people drive around in camper vans this size 🤷‍♀️

Kiley mckay (Gisborne, 2021-06-16)

#167

This is bullshit.

Gemma Robin (Gisborne, 2021-06-16)

#168

Could be a solution to affordable housing

Te Meyrick-Wall (Gisborne, 2021-06-16)

#171

Because I think this is a great option for extended family like parents to be with family as they get older and need assistance.

Wendy Rae (Gisborne, 2021-06-17)

#174

Because I think district councils should be doing more to help out Whanau with housing needs.

Fili Taylor (Gisborne, 2021-06-18)

#178

Lisa Panapa (Gisborne, 2021-06-26)

#195

I think that these small homes on wheels are a very great solution to the housing shortage here in Gisborne. In fact I would like to see the rules changed asap so that these types of homes can be used on peoples properties here in Gisborne.

Maree Conaglen (Gisborne, 2021-07-02)

#196

Struggling to find comfortable and affordable housing.

Tyla Campbell (Gisborne, 2021-07-05)

#199

This is an excellent idea. Affordable. Can be placed where needed. When tenants situations change their homes can be moved with them if needed. Or their house can be moved to where its needed next. Great in disasters to house people until back in their own homes as well.
