This will significantly impact my home.

There's ample development land available to fulfill the objective of St Helens councils 15 year plan without sacrificing this greenbelt land for a housing development.

Glen Richards (Liverpool, 2022-01-17)

#3

The greenbelt land should be protected for the current wildlife in the area and future generations to enjoy.
We should be enhancing natural habitats not building on top of them.

Claire Brookes (St helens, 2022-01-17)

#4

The development of property in the proposed area of green belt will significantly reduce rare wildlife (Owls, foxes, deer, bats, badgers etc) which I have seen around firsthand. Housing will also introduce more vehicles adding to local pollution as well as increasing workload on already struggling local hospitals, schools and GPs for very little overall gain to the local area. Use somewhere else within the district without the need to destroy green belt land.

Thomas Netherwood (St Helens, 2022-01-17)

#5

Traffic congestion. Lack of local amenities to welcome over a hundred new homes. Lack of local school places. Ruining green space which is greatly needed and should be protected. Lots of local brown field to build upon.

Kellie Riordan (St.Helens, 2022-01-17)

#7

We need Greenbelt sites for our well being For Nature & The Wildlife & Not an Urban Sprawl

Ann Daniels (Merseyside, 2022-01-17)

#12

I would like to preserve as much green belts as possible. I'm concerned for the loss of wildlife, the affect of traffic in my area and stress put upon GPS and schools.

Hayley Constantine (Liverpool, 2022-01-17)

#18

Green belt land should be protected when other land is available and when the housing is not needed.

Chris Valentine-smith (St. Helens, 2022-01-17)

#21

This land is safeguard until 2037

Paul Fishwick (St Helens, 2022-01-17)

I grew up in the local area (Clock Face) and went to high school on Elton Head Road. I am against the unnecessary release of green belt land to build more houses when there are suitable brownfield sites in the town. Additionally traffic, schools, amenities etc would not cope with the proposed increase in housing. As a family we are considering moving back to St Helen’s but many of the areas we are considering we now feel are unsuitable since there are so many of these sorts of planning applications which would ruin the surrounding green belt.

Gemma Williams (Wigan, 2022-01-17)

#27

All of the above

Deborah Susan King (Prescot, 2022-01-17)

#28

I object to the destruction of Greenbelt land surrounding the outskirts of St Helens. Before we know it, St Helens, Warrington, Widnes and Runcorn will become another “City” between Liverpool and Manchester. Please stop this destruction!

Sheila Rattigan (St. Helens, 2022-01-17)

#30

There is no need to build more in this area. What about our wildlife and green space.

Samantha Evans (Ormskirk, 2022-01-17)

#33

It’s green belt land

Karen McDougall (St. Helens, 2022-01-17)

#34

The proposal does not represent sufficient justification for release of this site within the planning period and would demonstrate a lack of ability to formulate and consistently follow an agreed plan.

Allen Makin (St Helens, 2022-01-17)

#44

There are already land that are getting built on and will cause a bigger strain on local nhs dentist schools and traffic

Scott Hunter (Rainhill, 2022-01-17)

#52

I agree 100% with this objection

Elizabeth Lloyd (St Helens, 2022-01-17)

#53

i don't agree with all the house builds, using our (The people of St Helens) greenbelt. When there is no need or call for all these house's.

Bernie Marsh (ST. Helens, 2022-01-17)

#54

Too much precious greenbelt land is being destroyed in the name of construction and profit. It needs to stop before we totally destroy our natural environment

Gillian Fisher (St Helens, 2022-01-17)

#58

to protect the greenbelt

Alex Price (St. Helens, 2022-01-17)

#61

The area of Bold , Clock Face has lost enough greenbelt land The council appear to be determined to remove all traces of open spaces and show no reverence to the mental health , physical health with increased air pollution, overcrowding roads schools and lack of dentists . Enough is enough! It has already been established there is enough brown site land to build your housing quota.

Linda Jones (St.Helens, 2022-01-17)

#65

Although I’m far from opposed to providing new homes to the community, as I live in a new build and work in the new homes industry, I do feel that there is more than enough disused space in the borough that would benefit from regeneration, rather than change the use of Green Belt land.

Rachael Ashdown (St. Helens, 2022-01-17)

#68

We need to protect the greenbelt .

Elaine Hayes (Merseyside, 2022-01-17)

#72

no more green belt should be built on

MARGARET MOSS (ST. HELENS, 2022-01-17)

#73

Already traffic issues without more cars joining eltonhead road

Lea Carl (St helens, 2022-01-17)

#78

We need to have our green space and there are already lots of homes and buildings in the area.

Lindsay Burns (St. Helens, 2022-01-18)

#84

We are already overcrowded with not enough facilities

George Bampton (Prescot, 2022-01-18)

#87

These roads are congested as it is, no one can move at peak time and you should build on brown belt land first

Glynis Jones (Merseyside, 2022-01-19)

#91

This will kill tons of wildlife! This is a peaceful town and we don’t need more homes!

Kelly Lockett (Prescot, 2022-01-19)

#99

Far too many houses are being built on green belt land with no infastructure or services being delivered.

Stephen Gerrard (St. Helens, 2022-01-19)

#103

Too much house building on or close to eltonhead road causing excess traffic near school,

Pamela Goldthorpe (St. Helens, 2022-01-20)

#107

Lack of amenities and infra structure to support another housing estate. Large estate already being built on Sutton’s land. Not enough doctors in the area all ready.

#118

We must protect green spaces and boost biodiversity where we can. Use brownfield sites and use already empty housing to provide homes.

Barker Knowles Deborah (St helens, 2022-01-23)

#131

There are too many greenfield sites being destroyed in south St Helens. We all need these green spaces, especially as we have the M62 and the link way running through here. If these destructive measures continue St Helens will become just a suburbs on the edge of Warrington with no green spaces to divide us.

Sheila Rattigan (St. Helens, 2022-01-23)

#132

I haven’t been able to get into a dentist for 3 years, my children can barely get a school place, my garden already floods as there is no drainage in the area, the local community can’t cope with any more housing.

Sophia Warland (St helens, 2022-01-23)

#134

It will cause more traffic

David Boyes (St helens, 2022-01-23)

#135

I do not want our green belt destroyed

Kath Hampson (Saint Helens, 2022-01-23)

#137

I do not want any property built on our green belt land

Mike Hampson (St. Helens, 2022-01-23)

#138

My friends live here and we spend lots of time playing with our kids. It would be awful to build house on such a beautiful space

Jen Kellett (Runcorn, 2022-01-23)

#140

Because I’m a local resident and believe that destroying green belt land will have a serious negative effect on wildlife and local the community in general

Suzanne Bradshaw (St. Helens, 2022-01-23)

#141

I am a local resident and strongly disagree with destroying green belt land

Daniel Bradshaw (St helens, 2022-01-23)

#144

I want my kids to grow up near some fields. We don't need more houses built on green belt. Save our greenbelt

David Fairclough (St Helens, Saint Helens, 2022-01-23)

#148

So many houses will swamp the greenbelt. There are too many homes already and the schools are over run.

Helen Crowe (St Helens, 2022-01-23)

James Roberts (St helens, 2022-01-23)

#153

St Helens council are a huge disgrace and are ruining the town and its green spaces for future generations.

Stephen Thomson (St. Helens, 2022-01-23)

#158

TOO MUCH GREEN SPACE IS BEING LOST IN THE AREA! it is ours to enjoy! not the council's to sell off!

Sue Butterworth (WARRINGTON, 2022-01-23)

#161

I am a local resident and have been all my life (57 yrs)
This area of green belt and farmland is home to the protected Great Crested Newt, several breeding pairs of buzzards and breeding pairs of Sparrow Hawks, not to mention other wildlife and fauna. We have enough housing developments in this area which over the past few years have been continuous, not only destroying green belt land but increasing traffic/pollution and congestion.
I have seen a dramatic increase in speeding traffic and collisions/accidents, some very serious since the new Linkway junction was introduced. Elton Head Road has now become a main arterial route from the Linkway through to Rainhill/Whiston and as such has seen a dramatic increase in traffic. The local primary school St. John Vianney has suffered as a result and not to mention local residents along this road (of which I am one)

Jeff Mather (St. Helens, 2022-01-23)

#164

To many houses already, save the green belt

Nichola Whitley (Liverpool, 2022-01-23)

#170

I live on the road that these plans will be destroying. My son and many others on our estate use it as a safe playing area away from cars. We also see plenty of wildlife in the area living directly opposite from it.

Rebecca Ledger (St. Helens, 2022-01-23)

#173

We need to protect our green belt . We bought our home 10 years ago and the original plan was to have a green belt . This is why we bought a hone here

Char Lotte (St. Helens, 2022-01-24)

#174

I don’t agree with it

Paul Murphy (St. Helens, 2022-01-24)

#177

There is far too much building going on on Elton Head Road already, by sutton distribution and opposite the college, there will be hundreds and hundreds of homes without having to destroy more green belt.

The site P/2021/1070/OUP-Land off Elton Head Road is still safeguarded and couldn't even be considered for building until 2035

Already elton head road is at braking point, no more

Dimitri Gardikiotis (St Helens, 2022-01-24)

#179

There are already plans to build 350 houses on Suttons site which seems more than enough and we need to retain our green belt

Eileen Martin (St Helens, 2022-01-24)

#183

We really don't need any more homes in the area of wa9 5nt
What we need is a doctor's and dentists because the nearest ones are a long way especially as I don't drive

Rebecca Pendlebury (St helens, 2022-01-24)

#190

My daughter attends the school next door to the development. Elton head road is busy and congested at school drop off pick up. Adding more houses/ cars will make this worse.

Helen Hughes (St Helens, 2022-01-24)

#195

There are many spaces that we can build on, much less that are protected and provide vital home for wildlife.

This town needs its greenbelt land. It shouldn't be able to be sold for building on.

Victoria Bailey (St. Helens, 2022-01-25)

#196

I’m signing because as an ex-resident of St Helens I totally disagree with green belt being used for housing. There is so much waste land, brown belt land available to build houses on. The only reason for the use of green belt land is the increased in profits for the builders and land owners. This is not an acceptable reason to lose our areas of necessary for agriculture and beauty.

Nicola Hill (Wigan, 2022-01-25)
