I am a member of MEPF and I want to know if the fund is indeed paying members as it says because a lot of members have not received their claims even though they registered on the first week.

I am signing because I had received a phone call from MEPF in regards to my 2 pot system withdrawal and I was informed that the outstanding amount on my home renovation loan (IMAS) would be taken out from my withdrawal first and then SARS and then whatever is left will be given to me. I asked for this information to be relayed to me via email and I have not received any further feedback since then.

I'm signing this petition on the basis that MEPF does not service their client properly and cannot account on our money which is in their coffers. I am one of those who applied for two-pot of which most of my colleagues who applied before me have not received their payment despite the fact that is now 30 days. I proved to the board of trustees who visited my institution that my benefits of 2020 was reduced by R49000 compared to the 2022 statement. I also showed them that is has been happening before 2022 previously. Benefits decrease.
