I am devastated by the abhorrent destruction of the health system and the targeting of health care workers, hospitals, and patients; the lack of international response and protections, the complete disregard for international law; using this systematic approach to health care destruction as a tactic in genocide; the complete dehumanisation of a population in taking these steps, and the actions taken to create a humanitarian crisis. The demands set out for the white tent protest are seeking basic human rights.

Claire Barrett (2025-01-25)

As a recently retired nurse, midwife, health visitor, lecturer in Nursing Studies, I find the manner in which hospitals are being targeted by the so called IDF utterly appalling. Made all the worse by the complicity of governments around the world. Desperately ill patients and the health professionals do not cause a ‘threat’ rather they require protection. The IDF targets hospitals and health workers deliberately; by doing so they further ensure the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians is facilitated. Shame on them, and shame on those in ‘power’ who are complicit in this genocide.

Sue Murray (2025-01-25)

#170

I believe that the settler colonialism, oppression, violence, killing and destruction, stealing of land, apartheid régime, human rights abuses, and genocidal actions of the Israeli state hurt not only the Palestinian people but all of humanity. If we let this continue, we lose our humanity. These actions should never have been allowed to start in the first place and now they must stop. All of humanity needs to commit to not harming others (and mean it this time). This is an oath that all of humanity needs to take - it should not be limited to healthcare workers. As decision makers, I beseech you to stop supporting these criminal acts, both financially, politically and legally and fully implement the international laws that have been egregiously broken. I beseech you to hold all international law breakers to account, including your own selves where relevant. It is never too late to do the right thing.

Amy Mikhail (2025-01-26)

#173

I am utterly stunned immoral stance of Israel and equally the United States, the UK and the European Union who instead of trying to stop this are gleefully amplifying it.
The deliberate targeting of hospitals and healthcare workers(and journalists and babies) is unfathomable.
These entities are very powerful, what is our future going to be like?
If this war machine targets Palestinians like this now, why would they not target the rest of us?

John Geaney (2025-01-26)

#180

Targeting healthcare workers, patients is a war crime.

Alva O'Dalaigh (2025-01-26)

#195

I believe healthcare is a human right. I believe that the IOF have deliberately and indiscriminately destroyed healthcare services in Gaza and will continue to do so across the wider Occupied Palestinian territories. As a health care professional this goes against all codes of practice. I will not be silent, whilst I watch my colleagues and those in need be harmed, killed and detained.

Naomi Wigley (2025-01-26)
