Please act to put traffic lights in place

I live off Barton Road and I have to say it is virtually impossible to cross the east lance from that junction or even at the lights at Lancaster Road, it such a pity it takes a death before the council do what I feel is their duty.

So tragic what has happened these roads need sorting out so this never happens again

This has always been a bad spot. Surprised there hasn `t been more accidents there

Hi Ann, Firstly, our sincere condolences to you and your family. How sad is it that things like this have to happen before awareness is raised and we all try to do something about it. Something does need to be done, to stop other tragedies happening again. Hopefully us raising awareness again, as you have done in the past and others like us, we will be able to stand up and make Salford Council and the Highways Agency take notice and finally do something about this as no doubt, if something isn't done, as in Traffic lights and too slow traffic down, then it will only be time before it happens again. Something needs to be done about the traffic control on the East Lsncashire zed& any junction attached to it. How many more people have to die before you'll take action? To whomever will make the decision to act upon this..This could have been so embody who you loved....think about the devastating effects...

Time for this now, where is the Police when you need them... RIP Aaron and Amy. Went to school with Aaron Uncle Paul, can't begin to imagine what the family are going through..

Road safety is important and this is an amazing cause, helping to prevent anything dangerous happening on the roads, stopping people from being at risk of any accidents. I support this amazing petition to save lives.

I know this part of the East Lancs Rd well. I had to cross it every day to get to high school. I can remember many times dodging cars to get across and thats over 20 years ago. God knows how no one has been killed here before now.

If it saves life's I'm all for it

More speed cameras and traffic calming measures need to be put in place on this road. Too many vehicles still ignore the speed limit, endangering and intimidating other drivers. Too many drivers use that road as a motorway. Innocent people losing their lives needlessly!! RIP. x

Please don't put money before peoples lives.

Needs to be sorted out fast.

I too have suffered the tragic loss of my daughter. She taken from me by a speeding car... I'm all for making the roads safer. Thinking of both families involved at this very sad time..xx..
