Great to see so many people getting behind our town. One of the reasons I moved to frodsham was the town spirit!! Sainsburys won't know what hit them!!

This will deter me from shopping in Frodsham at all. It makes no sense at all.

They cant prove you have left the 'site' because they cant use video or photographic evidence as that is only used if a criminal offence has taken place...leaving the site is only a breach of contract..it basically your word against theirs..very hard to prove in a court of law..dont let these people bully you into paying anything !!

How can this possibly be legal?

This is the worst thing they could have done. I blame sainsburys if it was not for them we wouldnt have this problem. I will not be shopping in sainsburys when they build it. So much for saving village shops.

You do not have to pay these fines it will cost more for them to take you to court. It is not legal.

This charge is extortionate and will affect all businesses in Church Street. Whilst I understand that parking is at a premium in this day and age.surely a nominal fee of maybe £1 would generate more income for the landlords as the £100 charge will surely make people think twice about parking there at all and the side streets would become congested.

This is going to have a negative effect on local businesses, theres lots of other places to go with big department stores that don't charge for parking!!

Not helping the local community at all make the parking notice clearer

There is no other disabled parking at the top end of the village. People use frodsham to shop in an area not just in the square. Ellesmere port here we come and they have a sainsburys too.

I used to live in Frodsham and still go there to shop. I always give to the charity shops and park there quite often, using the shops in Eddisbury Square and those in the High Street.

Clearly Sainsburys have been allowed to throw their weight behind this and force the owners/agents to ensure there is always parking for future customers. A small story: I had 3 or 4 errands to run on Saturday but because of this mess parked elsewhere. The one shop I missed out was in the Square - the agent's tenants missed out on this bit of business. The 2h max rule is one thing, staying on the Square is foolish and short-sighted.

This is totally out of order and will effect the
shops in Eddisbury Square

All this with such unused wasted town centre car parking space behind and alongside Eddisbury Square, which local businesses and individuals could use for longer stay parking. This is irresponsible business/town planning and forcing people to congest the town centre roads instead. I'm guessing the decision maker is not familiar with Frodsham, and not "local". How about encouraging local business? "Making a positive difference to our community" - http://www.j-sainsbury.co.uk/responsibility/our-approach/.

Ridiculous charges, there wasn't a problem parking in the first place, seems a case of "cutting their own nose off to spite their own face." It will kill Frodsham's economy. I for one, will go to Northwich instead.

Beware though...this could be an initiative to make it more acceptable to introduce 'pay and display'. So we go from the 'its a disgrace' emotion to 'ok then, I'll pay 50p each time I park' acceptance. So you accept paying for something that was once free. Its a form of behavior modification called 'nudging'.

I would like to know where I am now to park when I want to shop outside of the square?? I have a disability so find it difficult walking up and down steps and steep slopes and damn near impossible when I have a bag in my hand as I loose my balance and fall!!! To my knowledge all other car Parks in frodsham have one or both of the above or are too far for me to walk to the shops......WHERE DO I PARK NOW??? I don't have a problem with the amount of time allowed to park it's the fact that I can no longer leave the square and support local businesses

Thses regulations will put me off coming to Frodsham at all. Riduculous to say you cannot leave the square to shop.

There should be a residents parking permit to stop commuters out of the area parking at the station car park because it is free.
