There are too many green fields disappearing to greedy developers, at an alarming rate. Once they are gone, they are gone forever. Stop so many people coming in to our country, then less need to build, and ruin our green and pleasant land.Paul Huddlestone (Leicester, 2020-08-20)

This land is part of Bardon Hill which is an area of outstanding beauty and should Never be developed for housingMark Storer (Coalville, 2020-08-20)

I am signing because I disagree in the strongest way possible to our beautiful countryside being built on. The whole of Coalville/Leicestershire enjoy walking through the beautiful quiet fields up to bardon hill!I would personally be gutted to see it go to development as I see children play in those fields and enjoy the rare piece of beautiful countryside.
As I say I disagree in the strongest way possible and will do everything I can to stop this from happening.

There must be no further despoliation of our countryside and devastation to our nature and wildlife - these areas are such a vital and valuable asset. We must stop this vandalisation.John Dugan (Coalville, 2020-08-21)

Excess Building is killing our wildlife and natural areas! It’s also adding to environmental damage. We need green spaces for our health and eco system to survive. We can’t keep building and not care about the impact on our environment.Colette Horton Reddington (Loughborough, 2020-08-21)

I'm signing this petition as I believe Bardon Quarry knew that offing the land to the council would not give them the monies they wanted, this was obviously about financial gain and not the environment and the local residentschristopher driver (Coalville, 2020-08-25)

I'm signing this because we don't need more houses in the area, we can't facilitate more people moving to the area when our school, doctors, dentist and so on can't accommodate them, they struggle with the volume as it is, it makes no scents. What we need is infrastructure, but they don't care about this infrastructure costs more money, takes up more room i.e. a school will take up the same amount of room as say 10+ houses so they will lose money.Benny Wileman (Coalville, 2020-08-25)

I bought my house 32 years ago and over the years have had to put up with constant dust from the near by quarry ,which has been getting worse lately along with dust from the building work up on Greenhill road and also the demolition of the house's at the bottom of Smith's crescent.also I understand that the said land is land slip land which should not be built on.John Irons (Leicestershire , 2020-08-26)

More houses.....More roads....
More people......
Hardly a sustainable long term plan for the planet.

More houses means less countryside for wildlife, less country walks to enjoy and more traffic on already well over crowded roads.Steve Cross (Coalville,Leicestershire, 2020-10-02)

We need the beautiful countryside it’s getting less and less there will soon be no beauty left and nothing to look at it will be a waste of time taking a ride out into the countryside because there won’t be anySusan Brown (Leicestershire, 2020-10-15)

The encroachment of building works into the countryside is unacceptable now. There is enough. Additionally, NWLDC are not creating the necessary infrastructure to support the present development in the area, i.e. bypass and road upgrade workLen Greasly (coalville, 2020-11-18)
