Stomme politiekers!!!

who did the research?

I mean how they get to this? these nanny states are really being stupid
Guest#32 Feb 03, 2011, 15:28
All good and well with the petition and the fight to keep politicians from making decisions on something they don't have an idea about.
But I don't see how hostility and disrespectful behavior could benefit us kiters in this fight for our rights to free movement and being able to practice this sport to our own abilities whenever we want. Of course, in the end, it's up to US kiters to have common sense when and where to go kite and be safe.

Banning kitesurfing in more than 6bft

This ban has clearly been introduced by people who do not understand the problem. It would make more sense to ban lessons in more than 6bft and banning non-qualified instructors to give lessons to anyone.
Kiting on a 12m kite in 20knots is similar to kiting on a 7m kite in 35knots.
The ban is largely un-enforceable too so pointless really.

Guest#36 Feb 03, 2011, 18:27

Nonsense, ban cycling on public roads, skiing, jogging and 40+ naturisme instead!

Kitesurfing in stormy conditions is epic FUN!!!

Guest#40 Feb 03, 2011, 18:41
LEN10 is gonna be mad about this!!!!
Guest#41 Feb 03, 2011, 19:16

Rubbish.

As long as kite-surfers have common sense, they will not go out in winds that are too challenging for their standards. I often ride in 7bft + winds and it is the most exhilarating thing I could ever do. Don't take it away from us.
Guest#42 Feb 03, 2011, 19:45

Guest#50 Feb 04, 2011, 11:30

Accident?

Most of the accidents happen when people learn by them selves and dont know safety. Strong winds should be personal option for everybody!
