14 is old enough to know better.
Guest#102 Jul 22, 2015, 02:05
Because I'm so sick of the injustice. Need to go back to an eye for an eye. Jacobs life was cut short before it ever took off. And for NO good reason. And now the MURDERER should not have a life either...

Justice...
Guest#104 Jul 22, 2015, 02:07
Trying Sanders as a minor is absurd in every way imaginable.
Guest#105 Jul 22, 2015, 02:07
Adult crime, adult time..
Guest#106 Jul 22, 2015, 02:08
Adult crime adult time!!! Justice for Jacob
Guest#107 Jul 22, 2015, 02:08
He needs to be responsible for his crime. Regardless of his age he made his decision to take anothers life. He needs to pay for it.
Guest#108 Jul 22, 2015, 02:08
He did the crime he needs to pay. He is old enough to know right from wrong, just because he had had a bad childhood does not excuse his behavior.
there are plenty of people who turned out great with worse childhoods then his. HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING.
Guest#109 Jul 22, 2015, 02:08
Anyone who commits a crime should have to pay for what they have done.
Guest#110 Jul 22, 2015, 02:09
If your old enough to take someones life that isn't bringing harm to you then you are old enough to do the time as an adult.
Guest#111 Jul 22, 2015, 02:09
When are we going to wake up and see that this is an epidemic in the city of Erie. Why is that? No parental supervision, no morals and no regrets for their actions. I want it so I should be able to just take it. Thats whats wrong. Now we are affraid of hurting someons feelings. I say Make him pay for his actions!!!!
Guest#112 Jul 22, 2015, 02:10
If he can use a gun and shoot another human being over something petty then he should be treated as an adult!! Take responsibility!!
Guest#113 Jul 22, 2015, 02:11
If you are old enough to know what you are doing, and kill someone you deserve the consequences that follow.
Guest#114 Jul 22, 2015, 02:11
He should be tried as adult. he took a life.if he can get a gun and shoot someone he should pay the price. too many kids are getting away with murder.
Guest#115 Jul 22, 2015, 02:12
We need to send a message to all the thugs out there, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!
Guest#116 Jul 22, 2015, 02:12
Because his murderer deserves to be tried as an adult.
Guest#117 Jul 22, 2015, 02:13

I was on 6th n Parade St. at the bus stop with my 3 young children, waiting on a bus to go to the movies for my son's birthday when the shot rang out. It was so loud and sounder so close I yelled for my two sons to get over to me! I'm so sick of non-sensical violence in this neighborhood. I believe Jacob had such a bright future and his life was snuffed out over a bicycle!!! Why did his killer have access to a gun but not his own bicycle?! I'm so sick and tired of the gun violence and lives being lost in my neighborhood! Its scary and its ridiculous. We're spending all this money fixing up Perry Square when we should be making the streets safer by getting guns out of the hands of youth. My condolences on the tragic loss of Jacob. I know the other young man is young but I feel what he did was selfish and maliscous. There was no reason for it. He certainly doesn't deserve a slap on the wrist.

Im tired of seeing kids with guns and killing innocent people.the violence needs to end .i dont care if hes 14 he took innocent life over a bike whats next a 12 yr old killing a kid over the latest action figure.the parents should always be held responisble fir this and do some time if they were good parents there son would have known better....

Get justice for Jacob. Commit this kind of crime do adult time. Criminals need to realize that the community is tired of the gun violence in this town. People shouldn't have to be afraid to leave their homes. What gives anyone the right to think they can murder someone to get something they want. Where were his parents? Where did he get the gun? These people are the "responsible" people in this kids life?  They are just as responsible as the killer himself. If he is tried as a minor what kind of message are we sending the 'future of our world'. We're basically telling them to forget working hard and to forget about respecting others. We're telling them that you can do whatever you want to get whatever you want because you'll only go into the juvenile system until 21 at most.

Guest#122 Jul 22, 2015, 02:18

Someone need to start making an example out of these young kids walking around with guns, gunning down ppl. If you are big enough to use a gun at 14, then you are big enough to take the adult consequences!! Give him life in prison without the possibility of parole!!

Guest#123 Jul 22, 2015, 02:20
So our cousin will get justice for this unbelievable crime.
Guest#124 Jul 22, 2015, 02:20
Violence generally begins within an enviroment of dangerous juveniles, I am sure that he knew exactly what he was doing, aware of his actions and most of all, he knew that the gun that he was carrying and fired would cause a fatal injury as it did. Now he must pay the consequences and be accountable. Juveniles play on their bikes and "Adults" carry guns!

Adult crime = Adult time, stay with the original charge of an adult charge ,We must send a message to the youth in our town that if you take a life with a weapon the punishment will be swift and severe other wise more shootings will occur and more lives lost !
