#4802016-09-28 15:42Universities are there to provide future leaders in South Africa with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the functions required by responsible qualified citizens of our country and not to train terrorist who are out to destroy property that is for the good of all. |

Instead of bad mouthing the decisions of Advocate Price, how about commending them? Someone had to get the ball rolling, thank goodness for someone like Advocate Price.
I am part of the "majority of students", WE THANK YOU ADVOCATE PRICE.
He gave us a voice and a leg to stand on instead of sitting around at home while our money for our university education is being flushed down the toilet by the minority.
NMMU has done nothing to try and disperse of the situation of protesting themselves. They need a kick in the ass and that is what this is for! If you aren't FOR the cause, then get your ass off of the petition that is. Or at least show your identity so that people know the loud mouth behind words.

#4832016-09-28 16:45A minority group must not be allowed to prevent the majority from obtaining the education they are seeking and which they paid for. Moreover, the majority of NMMU can not be held liable for governments empty promises, which were made to further their own political agenda. In conclusion, NMMU officials should have taken reasonable steps in preventing the protesting students from stopping academic activity, words and threats are not enough. Expulsion and an endorsement on their academic record was an option, since their conduct clearly violated NMMU's code of conduct. This, however, was not done, instead NMMU officials have allowed this infringement, which makes them just as guilty as the prostesting students. |

#4852016-09-28 17:48Feel it's a small criminal element that threatens the safety of other students. They need to be charged criminally, and banned from studying at any of SA's Universities for life. |

#4862016-09-28 17:49Its ridiculous that majority has to suffer at the hands of a few students who are using this crucial time to perform ... they should instead enrol and graduate in drama studies. |

#4892016-09-28 18:02Because the students that are working hard and WANT to learn should be able to! |

#4912016-09-28 18:10I am a mother who pays my son's fees , nothing is for free. I have had enough of small groups of unreasoable adults setting the agenda. This sense of entitlement has gone too far. In this country we have a first world constitution but we have not learnt to or respect the right of others. Government must speak up boldly and clearly to stop these protests. These protesting students demand the right to protest and destroy yet forget or ignore the rights of others. They want it all now but fail to see how their demands and destructive behaviour will destroy not only their futures but that of others. How can tertiary education be free? |
