#5262016-09-29 06:09I am a hard working student who refuses to repeat a year due to other people's incompetence. Everyone has money problems that doesn't mean that we can let others suffer for it. |

#5312016-09-29 07:13My daughter Gene Keet is studying at NMMU - 3rd Year Architecture. Gene does not have a bursary and we do not have finance for her to repeat a year. Gene Keet is making the best by studying very hard (not failing 1 subject) to ensure she will obtain her degree with the available funds. She cannot afford not completing her studies due to a small minority who does not take education seriously. |

#5322016-09-29 07:14Because what is going on with student's who should be setting an example to younger people on how to behave this racial thing that will never die the student prior to 1994 had to pay fees to study so what's the problem |

#5332016-09-29 07:29My sons second year studies are already seriously compromised & even if lectures do commence, his study record is likely to be affected. The acting VC's statements to date are unfair & the university's approach in dealing with this matter willfully prejudices the majority of students who want to conduct their studies in a stable & predictable environment. There are legal mechanisms to deal with the rabble rousers - it is incumbent on the university to use them. |

#5342016-09-29 07:43It is high time that the majority stand up and demand what we are truly entitled to. We are NOT entitled to a free higher education. It is not a basic right! It was, is and always will be a privilege. Something to work for and strive for. Having paid for our higher education has however made me entitled to a service for which I already paid! |

#5372016-09-29 08:37Its unlawfull and it is your democratic right to learn or study and no one should stop you to do this |

#5382016-09-29 08:56I am pro free tertiary education but also pro freedom of association, movement and speech. It is everybody constitutional right to have unimpeded access to their place of education. |

#5392016-09-29 09:20I am a paid up parent who struggles to get my child through a decent education. Violating his right to finish his degree is unexceptable. He is in his final year. We can NOT afford this nonsense. Accomodation alone for him in PE cost me more than his class fees. Please please stop this. Nmmu must value those who want to be there! |

#5402016-09-29 09:27My Daughter is one of the students at NMMU who is being denied her right to continue with her classes because of the protests which the government and university have done nothing to prevent. |

#5432016-09-29 11:12Education is the bed rock of any country and for student to burn books and property takes us back to the dark ages and Nazizm and we will become like the rest of Africa where dictators rule a bunch of stupid subjects . The Anc started to destroy education in 1994 to keep the masses subjecated in line with communist thinking. |

#5462016-09-29 11:31The people who pay to support these institutes (the tax payers) should protest for having to put up with this nonsense. |

#5472016-09-29 12:23The reason why I have signed this petition: We ask for many things in life, but sometimes the answer is NO. I vote for a better Government to better my life, but I cannot be held responsible for the way they decide to spend the tax payer's money. The community cannot be held responsible for the demands of protesters. I know of a few poor, previously disadvantaged students that are working to pay for their studies. We are poor as well and my two children, who are students at this moment, studied hard at school to get good grades to make sure they can get financial help. |

#5492016-09-29 14:03A small percentage of students are infringing on the rights of the majority of students though violence and intimidation . They further need to direct their anger at government and not the institutions |

#5502016-09-29 14:11The protests are trying to accomplish an impossibly stupid thing. Thus they are just interfering with the studies of the rest who are sensible. |
