why cant we just stay Wellington the Capital City of New Zealand, I'm proud to be a Wellingtonian.
To the powers that be, obviously you have spare money maybe use it to feed the children that go to school hungry, or even feed hungry animals, or any else but not a stupid sign that's going to be making us the laughing stock of New Zealand

An embarrassment. Lets be known for our originality please. That's what makes us World famous. Get with the present & don't live in the past. Leave Hollywood to Hollywood. I am so glad that it will not be in my hometown of CHC, else I would cringe everytime I saw it

This is a real petition about a real social issue. It's abominable for that sign to represent a city in New Zealand, it represents a disturbing social power of privatization and a lessening of the norms of presentation of propaganda on a large scale.

I am appalled at the very idea of this sign. Wellington is not Hollywood, it is Wellington. There are so many creative minds that are capable of coming up with original ideas, so why this trashy sign.

Absolutely positively Wellington is a long-living slogan that should continue – BUT, it shouldn't be written as a tacky sign.

Please come up with something original , Wellywood ! really ???
