I think that it is highly important that history needs to be correct and inclusive. The truth of so many injustices are kept from mainstream knowledge and the accounts are lost to history. Equally important is the recognition of the HOLOCAUST, instead of the "potato famine", and the respect for all those who suffered during and after the holocaust.

Honour the millions of our people who slowly starved to death because one crop failed and the hundreds of other crops were shipped out under armed guard from one of the most fertile lands on earth. In the 1800's and today Ireland produces 80% more food than the native population needs and exports the surplus " An Gorta Mor" Caoimhin McEochaidh.

Don't understand the maths i was taught about the Great Hunger, if there was 8 million people when the Hunger started and 1 million died, 1 million emigrated and we were left with less than 4 million, what happened to the other 2. something million people.?
