#512015-03-26 08:12It is absurd to narrow Lynnwood to one lane for motorvehicles: it is totaaly congested as it is presentl;y. The extra amount of carbon emissions the city causes by the present state of affairs is bad enough as it is. Also road rage will escalate when drivers become even more frustrated by the further pressure of having to be locked in traffic if this lane closure takes effect. Lynnwood Rd should be a priority to upgrade NOW as it an immense bottlenek! |

#522015-03-26 10:23because if the roads are narrowed it will cause a traffic nightmare. |

#53 Insanity2015-03-26 11:55Limiting the two major arteries into Preoria East can cenrtainly not support the massive developments in the area. There is no way a brand new casino could possible let this happen. |

#542015-03-26 11:57With 5 schools and the university in the vicinity traffic congestion is already extreme. This will not only worsen the flow of traffic but the diminished parking available for students will have a huge, negative impact on the surrounding residential areas |

#552015-03-26 11:59The compete plan were not discuss with all parties in concern, and at peak trafic time the trafic will come at a standstill |

#562015-03-26 12:06These are main arterials and to narrow the roads will lead to unacceptable congestion |

#572015-03-26 13:11I use this road daily and the current traffic load makes this plan a no go! |

#582015-03-26 18:24Lynnwood road is busy already reducing lanes will cause nightmares. This is exactly what they did at Empire Road in Parktown Jhb and its shortsighted. Does not improve the traffic situation. |

#602015-03-27 05:23If this was closer to April 1, I might've said 'Good one CTMM, you fooled us all' |

#612015-03-27 07:22There has been no thought behind this latest decision. I personally drive this route at least three times a week and already during peak and school times it is hectic. Now the lanes will be more reduced. Absolute no logical thinking. |

#632015-03-27 18:54I signed this petition because I am tired of the municipality/government changing their minds without notice after the public participation process has closed and agreement reached, Effectively narrowing the lanes on this section of Lynnwood Road will cause chaos to students, parents, pupils and business people and harm the economy, The municipality must get its finance priorities right. We do not need a casino but we need open lanes. |

#642015-03-27 19:00We cannot put up with even more congestion on Lynnwood Road. If they can't pay for the widening of teh road they must halt the RBT until they can. |

#662015-03-29 16:25All the people involved in this BRT obviously did not do a proper study of the system and it seems to me that they just implement what they think will work and obviously receiving a kick back of some sort |

#672015-03-29 16:30Totally crazy idea to want to reduce the lanes in Lynnwood Rd and Atterbury - will reslult in total chaos- "back to the drawing board" and if Municipality dont have the money - then halt the BRT!! |

#682015-03-29 17:32Because I stay in Menlo Park and it will create havoc in our area. The traffic is already very hectic in the mornings and when the schools come out. This will make it impossible the stay in Menlo Park. |

#692015-03-30 05:43Traffic as it is at the moment is chaotic. it is pure absurdity to take away some lanes. Public transport is unreliable, striking frequently, not built around my schedule nor convenient when you stand in long ques to board. Pathetic idea. |
Guest |
#712015-03-30 14:42Because a reduced number of lanes in Lynnwood Road will severely impact already heavy traffic conditions. |
Guest |
#722015-03-30 14:42Because it will adversely affect traffic to and from the east of Pretoria. |
Guest |
#732015-03-30 15:27The closing of the lanes is going to cause major traffic problems during peak hours. Traffic already problematic at present. |

#742015-03-30 17:23Live in Menlo Park, work at corner Lynnwood and Jan Shoba, traffic already bad - one lane will be total chaos. |
Guest |
#752015-03-31 06:38The decision to reduce Lynwood road to a one car lane in each direction will lead to terrible congestion. I travel on that road every weekday to and from work. The traffic congestion with the two lanes in each direction is already bad and frustrating. Taking out one lane will worsen the situation. |
